French President Emmanuel Macron admits the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. This may happen in case of repeated offensive of Russian troops on Kyiv or Odesa.
When France can send troops to Ukraine
Macron made the corresponding statement at a meeting with parliamentary parties.
A far-right National Union party representative, Jordan Bardella, said after the meeting that "there are no limits and no red lines." Also, Manuel Bompard, a coordinator of the "Unconquered France" party, said he "came to the meeting worried and left even more worried."
In his turn, the representative of the French communists, Fabien Roussel, told the media that Macron showed maps of possible new directions of Russian strikes.
Macron's idea of sending troops
It will be recalled that French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out that NATO could send troops to help Ukraine. The main problem, he said, is that there is currently no consensus on this issue.
A number of NATO countries opposed this idea, particularly Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, and Italy.
At the same time, some countries, such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, are ready to consider such a possibility.
Canada, which is also a member of NATO, said that it is ready to send troops to Ukraine but only to train Ukrainian defenders in the territory far from the front
