Next year, Ukraine plans to significantly increase the production of various types of weapons, in particular, air defense systems.

The Ministry of Defense noted that we are talking about a wide range of air defense systems, from conventional portable air defense systems to systems with a more than 100 km range, such as the Koral air defense system.
Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavryliuk, noted that MOD and the Ministry of Strategic Industries want to increase the production of missiles, ammunition, weapons and military equipment several times in 2024.
According to him, the approved defense budget for the next year allocates about 175 billion UAH to purchase missiles and ammunition.
This will allow the Defense Forces of Ukraine to "resist Russian aggression with dignity," the representative of the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
The agency states that the priorities for 2024 will be strengthening Ukraine's Air Defence shield and developing the domestic defense and industrial complex.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held several vital meetings in Zaporizhzhia. In particular, he discussed the issue of strengthening border territories.

They discussed attracting resources, motivation, in particular, and private business in this work, financing. The priority is obvious. I am grateful to everyone who works on such construction, on the production of materials, Zelenskyy added.
The President emphasized that, in addition to this, the needs were also discussed regarding which Ukraine will work with partners to strengthen the defense lines.
Particular attention is paid to the construction of shelters in schools, in particular here, in Zaporizhzhia and the region, so that children can learn at least in a mixed format and offline as well, Zelenskyy noted.
