Moldova to stop the work of two checkpoints on Ukrainian border due to bad weather

Moldova stopped the passage of vehicles at the checkpoints "Mayaki — Palanka — Udobne" and "Starokozache — Tudora". The reason was bad weather.

Moldova suspended the pass at two points on the border

SBGS [State Border Guard Service of Ukraine — Ed.] informs that the road is congested in the village of Căușeni in Moldova due to weather conditions.

Because of this, the neighboring party decided to stop the passage of vehicles into its territory at the checkpoints "Mayaki — Palanka — Udobne", "Starokozache — Tudora".

What is known about lousy weather in Ukraine

As of the evening of November 26, about 400 settlements in 10 regions remained without electricity in Ukraine. In particular, in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy and Kyiv. Odesa region was the most affected.

On November 27, all educational institutions in Odesa will switch to distance education. Kindergartens and schools will work in the regime of groups on duty.

Also, earlier on November 26, traffic was prohibited on the M-15 Odesa — Reni highway. Temporary traffic restrictions for heavy goods vehicles are on the M-16 Odesa — Kuchurgan highway.

During November 26-27, heavy sleet, rain, ice, and blizzards are expected in the Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions. Heavy snowfall is expected in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and Odesa regions.

Rains are forecasted in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea.

On November 26, a Headquarters was created in Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of emergencies on roads of state importance. Three hundred sixty-eight units of equipment and almost half a thousand people work on state roads.
