The massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine on 29 December could cost Russia at least $1.273 billion.

How much did the December 29 missile attack cost Russia?

Journalists of the publication "Economichna Pravda" calculated the cost of missiles launched on Ukraine.

According to the Air Force, Russia attacked Ukraine with:

  • 36 attack UAVs "Shahed-136/131";

  • no less than 90 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles;

  • 8 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles;

  • 14 S-300/S-400/Iskander-M missiles;

  • 5 Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missiles;

  • 4 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles;

  • one Kh-59 missile.

The news source writes that the Kh-47 "Kinzhal" hypersonic missile can cost 10 million dollars and more, the total cost of 5 missiles is 50 million dollars.

Iranian attack drones Shahed-136/131, according to information in open sources, cost from $20,000 to $50,000 per unit. At least 36 such UAVs cost 720,000 dollars.

According to Forbes, the cost of the Kh-101 missile is 13 million dollars, that is, approximately 90 such missiles cost 1.17 billion dollars.

The cost of the Kh-22 missile is estimated at 1 million dollars, that is, the total amount for the launched missiles is 8 million dollars.

The Iskander-M ballistic missile can cost $3 million, the total cost of all released missiles of this type is $42 million.

Also, according to other Forbes data, the cost of the Kh-31P and Kh-59 missiles is $0.5 million each. Thus, the total cost is 2.5 million dollars.

Thus, according to the conclusion of the media outlet, the total price of missiles and drones launched on Ukraine on the night and morning of December 29 is 1 billion 273 million 220 thousand dollars.
