The search for Russian missile will continue in Poland

This was reported by the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces.

The purpose of the search is to finally confirm that no elements of the object remain on Polish territory. The soldiers will be searching southeast of Zamosc region, the statement said.

About 480 soldiers from the 2nd Lublin territorial defence brigade and the 19th Nadbuzanka territorial defence brigade will be involved in the operation.

Russian missile violated Polish airspace: what is known

On 29 December, the General Staff of the Polish Army officially confirmed that a Russian missile had violated Polish airspace on Friday.

The Russian missile violated Polish airspace at around 7:00 a.m., local time and stayed there for about three minutes.

It was also reported that it flew 40 kilometres in Polish airspace.

According to Polsat News, citing its insiders, it is quite possible that it was a Russian Kh-22 or Kh-101 cruise missile, which then flew back into Ukraine and was shot down by air defences.

Instead, Russia said it would not provide an explanation for the missile that violated Polish airspace during Russia's massive attack on Ukraine until the country provides "concrete evidence".

It is important to understand that this incident took place against the backdrop of Russia's largest missile attack on Ukraine on 29 December.
