Consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv on December 13

On the night of 13 December, the Russian army again attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Air defence forces managed to shoot down almost all enemy targets, but dozens of people in the capital were injured by missile fragments.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahid drones from the area of Balaklava (occupied Crimea).

A total of 10 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs were launched.

Most of the enemy's targets were destroyed by the Air Force in cooperation with air defence units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Almost all of the enemy UAVs were shot down in Odesa region, in the area of responsibility of the South Air Command.

At exactly 03:00 on 13 December 2023, the enemy launched a missile attack on the capital of Ukraine. All ten targets flying in the direction of Kyiv on a ballistic trajectory were shot down by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force of Ukraine. What is known about the consequences of the night attack of Russia on Kyiv

As of the morning of 13 December, 53 people, including 6 children, were injured in the capital as a result of rocket fire from the Russian army.

According to the latest data, 18 adults and 2 children were hospitalised.

The mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, said that the oldest victim was 80 years old, and the youngest was 5 years old.

In addition, it is emphasised that about a dozen cases of missile fragments falling as a result of the work of air defence forces were recorded.

In Holosiivskyi district, garbage fell on the roadway and did not catch fire. In Desnianskyi district, the 7th floor of a nine-storey building and 8 cars in the yard of the building caught fire. In Dniprovsky district, the blast wave smashed windows in two residential buildings, and a private house caught fire.

In addition, it is reported that on the evening of 12 December, the Russian army sent a Shahid-131/136 unmanned aerial vehicle to Odesa. Two civilians were injured.
