Over 70 settlements in the Lviv region were left without electricity due to bad weather

Seventy-four settlements in the Lviv region were left without electricity due to unfavourable weather conditions.

In Lviv Oblast, bad weather left 74 settlements without electricity

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, as of this hour, 74 settlements in Lviv Region have been cut off. 26 [of them are} fully without [electricity completely], 48 — partially, the head of Lviv RMA Maksym Kozytskyy said.

The head of the RMA reported that 111 specialists of Oblenergo and 39 equipment units are already working on restoring the electricity supply.

Weather in Ukraine on November 26-27

Heavy snowfall is expected in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and the Odesa regions.

In the Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions, heavy sleet and rain with ice are forecasted.

The growth of the snow cover is 20-30 cm, some places to expect a snofall to 40-50 cm; blizzards, snowdrifts, ice on the roads are expected.

There will be heavy rains in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea.

The State Emergency Service warns that in the northern, central, and southern regions and Crimea, the wind will increase to 17-22 m/s, in places up to 25 m/s, in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions to 25-30 m/s; in the western and eastern regions, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s.

In the Black Sea, the wind is expected to increase to 25-30 m/s; the wave height is 20-30 dm, during the day on November 26 and at night on November 27, the wave height is 30-50 dm.

Rescuers called on Ukrainians to be careful, to follow safety rules, and not to plan long journeys at this time.
