According to the AFU Joint Forces commander Gen. Serhiy Naiev, reducing military support from Western partners can undermine Ukraine's defense capabilities.

What is known about the pessimistic forecasts of the further development of the war in Ukraine

Gen.Naiev noted that at a time when Ukraine's Western partners have problems with the supply of weapons, Russia continues to produce its own. If this is not affected, the Russian occupying forces will try to advance further through the territory of Ukraine. Hostilities will go beyond the borders of the east and south.

The Joint Forces commander emphasized that the Ukrainian skies are currently protected by Western air defense systems, which have a critical advantage over the Soviet ones.

We understand that there is now a war for resources. The Russian Federation gets its resources with the help of the "Axis of Evil" — this is North Korea and Iran. And we, with the help of our partners, receiving air defense equipment from them, oppose the Russian Federation with its resources. It is necessary to understand that the reduction of aid will really affect our defense capabilities. But we will fight with what we have, General explained.

What is known about the main factors influencing the war

According to him, technology is currently the most critical. In particular, Western artillery systems do not need to use 100 shells to hit a target, unlike the Soviet ones.

Therefore, technologies always have an advantage, and I emphasize once again: this assistance is very, very important for us, General Naiev said.

He warned that if Russia is allowed to continue producing its own weapons and modernizing technologies, the war will spread beyond the borders of eastern and southern Ukraine.

We are preparing for this, building defenses, laying mines and training our forces, General Naiev emphasized.
