On the night of December 24-25, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 31 attack drones. Air defence forces destroyed 28 "Shaheds", two missiles and two more fighters.

The Air Force announced the results of the night air defence operation

According to the military, on the night of December 25, the enemy attacked with 31 kamikaze drones of "Shahed" type from the districts of Chauda, Balaklava - Crimea and with two air missiles.

As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 28 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kirovohrad and Khmelnytskyi regions, the Air Force writes.

Also, during the air attack, the enemy used the Kh-59 guided air missile in the direction of Zaporizhzhia and the Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the Black Sea.

Both were destroyed.

Air Force anti-aircraft missile units also destroyed two enemy aircraft: one Su-34 in the Donetsk region (which was reported in the evening) and one Su-30SM over the Black Sea.

Consequences of the drone attack

On the night of December 25, troops from the Eastern Air Command shot down five drones of the Russian army in the sky over the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Two "Shaheds" were shot down each in Synelnykivskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, and one more in Pavlogradskyi.

A utility room and a grain loader were damaged due to falling debris in the Pavlohrad region. In the Dnipro district, the building of a non-working enterprise caught fire, and the fire was extinguished. There are no dead or injured.
