Drone attack on Ukraine: air defence destroyed almost all of them
Most of the Shaheds were shot down on the night of 1 January 2024 in the area of responsibility of the South Air Command.
Commander of the Air Force of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, wrote about this on Telegram. He provided an impressive video of the combat work of the Ukrainian military.

Air defence forces managed to destroy 87 of them. One civilian was killed in Odesa as a result of the attack by Russia. In addition, the Lviv region came under enemy fire, with the museum of UPA commander Roman Shukhevych burned to the ground.
Attempts to shoot down enemy drones were made in Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kirovohrad and Vinnytsia regions. The largest number of enemy targets, about 30, was destroyed in the Odesa region.
