Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán states that the EU leadership in Brussels is resorting to allegedly blackmailing his country over the issue of unblocking aid to Ukraine.

Orban complains about EU pressure due to his unwillingness to support Ukraine's aid

In particular, the scandalous Hungarian PM accuses the EU leadership of pursuing an allegedly imperialist policy with a significant reduction in the number of sovereign states.

More and more often, regardless of what rights you have under contracts, what reasonable arguments you give them, they try to force you to do something you don't want. In recent years, Brussels has been waging an ideological war against Hungary and is constantly trying to blackmail us. Even the chairman of the committee publicly stated at the last session of the parliament that Hungary will not receive its due EU funds until it refuses to change its position on migration and gender issues, Orbán emphasised.

Orban declares threats from the EU

He noted that due to opposition to the provision of aid to Ukraine by the EU in Brussels, he is allegedly threatened with destabilisation in his country.

This is a kind of blackmail guide. He said that if we act as a sovereign country, Hungary will immediately fall under a huge financial blockade, and the Ukrainian issue will be related to the rule of law. These two questions have nothing to do with each other! Then there will be armageddon in Hungary. Knowing Brussels, they can do it, says Orbán.

The scandalous politician also once again criticised providing monetary aid to Ukraine. He said the war "will not end on the battlefield" and called the parties to "sit down at the talking table."
