The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, again got into a scandal with his statement. This time, he wanted Ukraine to become a "buffer zone" between Russia and the West.

Orban sees Ukraine as a buffer zone

The Prime Minister of Hungary was scandalized once again. Now he believes that Ukraine should serve purely as a buffer zone.

This is reported by Index .

According to Orban, Ukraine needs to receive security guarantees and serve as a "buffer" between Russia and NATO countries.

The Hungarian Prime Minister is sure that otherwise Ukraine will lose its territory, as the Russian Federation will attack "again and again".

There is no way Russia will allow a state that is a member of NATO and the EU to its doorstep.

The Hungarian prime minister also disagreed with the idea that Ukrainians protect Europe, saying that Ukraine allegedly does not add any additional security to the West, since Western countries are already in NATO. Orbán added that he sees no chance that Russia will decide to attack any NATO member.

Hungary's position on the war

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban takes an openly anti-Ukrainian position. He often makes statements to discredit Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Hungary has not provided military aid to Ukraine, and it also blocks European Union sanctions against Russia. In addition, Budapest continues to conduct trade with the Russian Federation, and representatives of the Hungarian authorities visit Moscow.

Also, Hungary regularly creates obstacles on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO, and also prevented the allocation of 50 billion euros for our country.

Tusk put Orbán in his place after his scandalous statements

According to the Polish Prime Minister, in the end, the leadership of the European Union will be able to find arguments for the pro-Russian politician Orban to remove his veto from aid to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros.

There is no so-called problem of fatigue from Ukraine, but there is a problem of fatigue from Viktor Orban. We have so many problems to solve, and of course we need to strengthen our unity around Ukraine today, - urged Donald Tusk.

The Polish leader frankly admitted that he cannot understand and accept this "very strange" and "very selfish game" of Viktor Orbán.
