Pop singer and People's Artist of Ukraine Vitalii Bilonozko died at 71. The cause of the artist's death has not yet been announced.

This became known on January 9, from a message on the Facebook page of the Buryn City Council in Sumy Oblast.
Today, our fellow countryman, the unsurpassed singer of the Melody of Two Hearts — Vitalii Vasyliovych Bilonozhko — has passed away, noted in the post on behalf of the mayor, the executive committee of the Buryn city council and the entire community.
The journalist Olesya Batsman found that the People's Artist passed away on the night of January 9. Bilonozko died in one of the Kyiv hospitals.
The work of Vitalii Bilonozhko
Together with his wife, people's artist Svitlana Bilonozhko, the singer was the founder and organizer of the periodic International Festival of Family Creativity "Melody of Two Hearts".
In December 1995, Vitaly Bilonozhka was awarded the People's Artist of Ukraine title. He is a laureate of many all-Ukrainian and international song festivals and competitions and the "Year's Schlager" music award multiple laureate.
For his high professional skill and significant contribution to the development and popularisation of Ukrainian songs, the artist was awarded the International Order of Nicholas the Wonderworker in 1998. Bilonozhko was a knight of the Yaroslav the Wise Order 5th degree (2003), "For Merit" 3rd degree (2008) and "For Merit" 2nd degree (2013).
