Poland detected airspace violations during Russia's attack on Ukraine

Poland has recorded a violation of its airspace by an unknown object during the massive attack by Russian occupiers on Ukraine.

What was recorded in Poland

A flying object travelling at high speed was observed by residents of the village of Dolhobyczow in the Lublin Voivodeship region. It was in the vicinity of Przewodow, where a missile from abroad exploded a year ago.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise and whistling. The object was moving westwards.

According to the radio station, searches are underway in the vicinity of Zamostia. Significant forces have been mobilised there.

The incident was confirmed by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

In the morning, an unidentified aircraft flew into the airspace of the Republic of Poland from the border with Ukraine, which was observed by radar means of the country's air defence system from the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared, the press service reports.

Polish services respond to an "unknown object"

As it has become known, an emergency meeting is being convened in Poland in connection with the violation of airspace by a missile that flew across the Ukrainian border and crashed near the village of Wożuczyn-Cukrownia.

It is noted that the National Security Bureau will hold an urgent meeting with the head of the Ministry of Defence, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Wieslaw Kukula, and the operational commander of the Armed Forces, Major General Maciej Klisz.

Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of National Defence, Vladyslav Kosyniak-Kamysh, also commented on the situation.

The government responded immediately to the appearance of an unidentified object in Polish airspace. Through the National Security Bureau, I am in contact with the President, the Prime Minister, the Chief of the General Staff and the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces. The state is acting! — he stressed.
