According to information from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, the protest action in front of the "Medyka — Shegyni" checkpoint has ended.
The truck movement was restored
The protest ended on December 24 at 09:30.
Registration and border crossing of cargo vehicles in the direction of entry into Ukraine is carried out as usual.
The border guards work together with the employees of the control services to ensure the passage of the maximum number of trucks.
Drivers are asked to take this information into account when planning international transportation.
Blockade of truck traffic on the border with Ukraine
On November 6, Polish truckers blocked the movement of trucks near three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine: "Korchova — Krakowiec", "Grebenne — Rava-Ruska", and "Dorogusk — Yagodyn".
They demand to restore permits for Ukrainian carriers that were cancelled by the agreement with the European Union by June 30, 2024.
The local authorities forbade strikes at the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint, but later, the court overturned this decision, and the strike resumed on December 18.
On December 22, Ukraine and Poland agreed on an action plan to unblock the border before Christmas. The Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine announced that it was possible to reach an understanding regarding compromise solutions with the new leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland.
The next stage should be negotiations between the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and the protesters.
