The Financial Times claims it has Russian military documents that describe the conditions under which dictator Vladimir Putin could use nuclear weapons.
The Kremlin creates a low threshold illusion of nuclear war's starting
According to the journalists, the 29 secret files they received from their insiders in the West were developed between 2008 and 2014.
However, it is important to understand that they are relevant even now, as they describe the training models that the aggressor country conducted before and after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The documents say that Putin can use nuclear weapons in various cases.
Journalists draw attention to the fact that this could be the defeat of units responsible for protecting border areas, as well as "deterring states from using aggression."
Russia again tries to scare the world with a possible nuclear strike
In addition, it is emphasised that among the criteria of a potential nuclear strike, destruction is also indicated:
20% of Russian strategic submarines with ballistic missiles,
30% of nuclear attack submarines of the Russian Federation,
three or more cruisers,
three airfields or a simultaneous strike on the main and reserve coastal command centres.
According to RUSI representatives, these documents should not be considered a clear summary of the rules for the use of nuclear weapons.
Foreign experts are convinced this is possibly another tool for "instilling fear".
In this cunning way, dictator Vladimir Putin wants to end conflicts on his terms, shocking the country's adversary with a "low threshold" for tactical nuclear use.
