The holding of the All-Russian Forum "Small Family - the Strength of Russia" in January 2024 is one of the revealing illustrations of the regime's attempt to reduce public tension and justify Moscow's criminal actions in Ukraine. At this forum, according to the GUR, Putin promised to allocate money to the regions for development: gasification, roads, hospitals, schools.

Putin "went to the people" before the presidential elections in the Russian Federation

As part of preparations for the elections in Russia, Kremlin technologists are implementing a campaign aimed at concluding a new social contract, which the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, plans to conclude with the population of the Russian Federation.

Andrii Chernyak, representative of the State Government of Ukraine, stated this.

The Kremlin decided to "paint" the disappointing background of the so-called election campaign through Putin's campaign to contact the so-called "deep people" - representatives of local self-government, he explained.

The intelligence officer noted that due to the lack of results on the front, as well as the international isolation and economic difficulties caused by the war against Ukraine, the standard of living of the population in the Russian Federation and support for the continuation of hostilities have fallen.

The holding of the All-Russian Forum "Small Family - the Strength of Russia" in January 2024 is an attempt by the regime to reduce public tension and justify the criminal actions of aggressive Moscow, Chernyak added.

At this forum, according to the GUR, Putin made promises to allocate money to the regions for development (gasification, roads, hospitals, schools), and also "pushed" rhetoric about:

  • support for the participants of the so-called "SVO";

  • Russia's "victories";

  • "ineffective" sanctions;

  • "cohesion" of the people.

The main tasks of the Russian dictatorship in the current conditions, as noted by Chernyak, are to calm the population, maintain full public support for the war against Ukraine, and prevent destabilization within Russia, the signs of which are becoming increasingly difficult to hide.

At the same time, the Kremlin entrusts the implementation of internal policy aimed at maintaining control over the situation and avoiding a social "explosion" during the electoral cycle both to security forces and to representatives of municipalities, which in Russia make up about 7% of all voters.

Presidential elections-2024 in Russia

In Russia, presidential elections will last three days - from March 15 to 17, 2024. On December 8, the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, officially announced his intention to run for re-election.

As Reuters wrote, in this case, Putin will be able to stay in power at least until 2030. Moreover, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmytro Peskov, has already announced that Putin will be re-elected with a result of 90% of the votes.

The occupiers, as part of preparations for the elections, have already started bringing "agitators" to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
