Railway bridge, used by Russians to transport weapon to frontline, destroyed

Ukrainian resistance forces have completely destroyed a railway bridge that had been used by the enemy to deliver weapons and ammunition to the frontline in the Zaporizhzhia region. The bridge was located not far from temporarily captured city of Melitopol.

Resistance forces of Ukraine destroyed the railway bridge

According to the official, the bridge was previously subjected to attacks and damaged. After that, Russians concentrated a large number of construction workers, trying to rebuild the bridge.

I would like to emphasise what was done yesterday. The destruction of the railway bridge near the village of Svitlodolynskyi in the Melitopol district. The enemy concentrated a large number of construction workers there... But now even the remains of the bridge have been destroyed," emphasised Fedorov.

He also said that this bridge was used by the Russian army to reach the temporarily occupied Tokmak and Molochansk, settlements that Russia is now actively defending.

According to him, it is by the railway that the enemy moved most weapons and ammunition to the frontline in the Zaporizhzhia region.

What is known about the tactics of the Russian army in the Melitopol sector

Kostyantyn Denysov, a fighter of the Legion of Freedom, said that the Russian soldiers often deliberately withdraw from their positions, to lure Ukrainian soldiers into a trap.

The enemy is very sneaky and cunning. Over the past week, our guys have been trapped twice and miraculously escaped, said Kostyantyn Denysov.

He said that the occupiers will retreat in certain areas, allegedly leaving their positions, after which the Ukrainian military will enter and the enemy will start shelling. The Russian troops may also deliberately lure the Ukrainian Armed Forces to traps and start shooting. According to Denysov, the militants set up ambushes because they understand that they will not be able to go head-to-head again and again.

He also said that the tactical successes of the AFU in the Melitopol sector are due to many factors, including the heroism of the assault infantry, the work of artillery and the usage of Western weapons. Kostyantyn Denysov stressed that the Defence Forces have recently taken advantageous positions in this area, but such an advance always comes at a high price, as the occupiers are constantly firing artillery and trying to counterattack.

In addition, the enemy has improved the situation with drones, which are used to pin down Ukrainian infantry and prevent them from actively repelling attacks, and Russian UAVs are also hunting for military equipment.
