According to Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol occupied by the criminal army of the Russian Federation, the Russian occupation authorities are destroying the historic centre of the city under the guise of the programme 'Restoration of the Historic Centre of Mariupol'.

What is known about the Russian Federation's destruction of the historical part of Mariupol

First of all, on the example of Italiiska Street. The heart of the merchant heritage. It's beautiful, isn't it? Part of it has already been "restored" by dismantling. Yes, to the time of the early Cro-Magnons. Another part is still being considered. Will it fall apart by itself or does it need help? To speed up history, so to speak. Russian bastards. They destroy everything that’s built. What repaired, they destroy. They destroy everything they give birth to. They know how to do nothing but destroy, Andriushchenko said.

Andriushchenko also stressed that the Russians are actively expanding the defence line around Mariupol. They are preparing to defend the occupied territories and hope that this tactic will help them prepare for the arrival of the Ukrainian army.

Next to each bridge there is a small occupant base from which the bridge is guarded. This is done not because Ukraine can blow it up, but to prevent anyone from entering it and to prevent everything they have mined in advance from exploding, explains the advisor to the mayor of the occupied city.

The occupiers take all infrastructure and fortification works quite seriously and continue to carry them out.

They took an inventory of all the fortifications that had been built around Mariupol, including by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At one time, our military put them in order, partially expanded and rebuilt them.

He added that the defences around Mariupol today consist of 90 per cent renewed fortifications built by the AFU. At one time, they allowed Ukrainians to deter the Russian invasion.

The only thing that the Russians have really done is to take an inventory and assess which defences are effective and which should be strengthened. The other 10% is, in particular, the mining of bridges and the construction of some fortifications. The occupiers are also blocking possible river crossings. They have analysed what they have faced in the past and are drawing conclusions based on this, Andriushchenko said.

What do other Ukrainian settlements destroyed by the Russian army look like

The criminal army of the Russian Federation has completely destroyed Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region, which was recently liberated by the Ukrainian military.

According to the military, after the Russian occupation, not a single intact wall remained in Klishchiyivka, which clearly demonstrates the true face of the so-called "Russian world".

Today, the Russians are trying to recapture Klishchiyivka, which is now just a memory. It is obvious that, like any empire, Russia is only interested in territory even if it is completely devastated, the military said.

The Foxtrot fighters stressed that there are only two options left now: either the complete destruction of the occupiers or “the whole of Ukraine will become like Klishchiyivka”.
