The declassified US intelligence report says that the war in Ukraine cost Russia 315,000 killed and wounded servicemen.
The USA announced the number of dead Russian occupiers
The United States of America estimated Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine at 315,000 dead and wounded soldiers.
The Reuters publication reported this.
It is noted that this is almost 80% of the personnel it had at the time of the invasion of Ukraine.
The report also emphasizes that Russian losses in personnel and armoured vehicles of the Ukrainian army set back the Kremlin's military modernization by 18 years.
According to Watson, other recently declassified U.S. intelligence suggests that "Russia appears to believe that a military stalemate over the winter will drain Western support for Ukraine and ultimately give Russia the upper hand, despite its losses and continued shortages of trained personnel, ammunition and equipment".
Losses of Russia in the war in Ukraine
The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine until the morning of Tuesday, December 12, amounted to 800 occupiers; the total number of casualties of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 340,650 soldiers.
The British Ministry of Defense stated that the average range of estimates of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine is 320,000 people killed and wounded. However, the exact figure is not known even in Moscow.
The press secretary of the U.S. National Security Council at the White House, Adrienne Watson, said that the Ukrainian military was able to neutralize more than 13 thousand Russian soldiers near Avdiivka since the beginning of the enemy offensive in the area of the city.
