Russia actively spreads new fake about Kherson

Kherson

Russian propagandists are spreading disinformation that Ukrainian forces are allegedly evacuating civil servants from Kherson due to a possible new offensive of the Russian army in the city.

New Russian fake about Kherson. What is essential to know

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) warns about the provocation of Russian propagandists.

Experts draw attention to the fact that the Russian invaders want to increase panic among Ukrainians.

It is essential to understand that the Russian army does not have the resources for a new offensive on Kherson.

Russia is conducting a disinformation campaign about the situation in the South. The information that civil servants are allegedly being evacuated from the city of Kherson before the "offensive of the Russian Federation" does not correspond to reality, the CCD emphasises.

What is known about the situation in the Kherson region

The AFU General Staff reported on Mar. 3 that Russian soldiers did not conduct offensives in the Orikhiv and Kherson directions.

Despite this, the Russian occupiers launched artillery and mortar attacks on peaceful Ukrainian towns and villages.

At the end of February, the United Coordination Press Center of South's Defence Forces reported that the occupiers were using aviation less because of the "aircraft downs" that Ukrainian forces arranged for them.

Forbes recently reported that after Ukrainian soldiers captured a bridgehead in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River, Ukrainian marines — mostly the 35th brigade — not only hold their positions, but are also slowly advancing toward the nearby settlement of Kozachi Lageri.
