On March 3, the Russians found an aircraft-type drone on the territory of the St. Petersburg oil terminal. This is not the first drone attack on this object in Russia.

On the morning of Mar. 3, an aircraft-type drone was found on the territory of the St. Petersburg oil and gas company "Petersburg Oil Terminal".

The UAV was equipped with an explosive charge weighing about 20 kg. There was no explosion, there were no casualties, the post says.

The drones are attacking oil terminals in Russia

This is already the second UAV attack on the "Petersburg Oil Terminal" territory. The first attack was recorded on Jan.18, 2024.

The St. Petersburg oil terminal began operating in 1996 in the home of the Leningrad port oil filling area. According to Russian media, it is the largest Russian oil product transshipment terminal in the Baltic region (throughput capacity — 12.5 million tons per year), as well as the largest stevedore company of the Grand Port of St. Petersburg.

In addition, on the night of Jan. 21, 2024, an explosion occurred near the Sea Trade Port oil terminal in the village of Ust-Luga in the Russian Leningrad Region.

Residents of nearby towns near the port reported drones. Later, a fire broke out in the terminal. About 150 people had to be evacuated from the enterprise.

The attack on the sea terminal was the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) special ops. In particular, fuel for the occupying forces is processed at this facility.
