Russia claims Belgorod comes under fire on the first day of Putin's elections

Russian Belgorod came under fire again on March 15. The Russians announced an attack on the city with jet systems.

What is known about the shelling of Belgorod on March 15

Russian Belgorod is under fire again. The Russian MOD announced that the Armed Forces attacked the city and region with RM-70 "Vampire" rocket salvo systems.

There are no official reports of casualties yet.

The Russian MOD said that the air defence forces shot down seven rockets. Earlier, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced that about 400 people were evacuated from dangerous areas in the Belgorod region.

On Mar. 15, the border town of Grayvoron was also under fire.

It is reported from the Kaluga region that drones tried to attack an oil refinery in the morning. Governor Vladyslav Shapsha informs about the downing of four drones.

The danger of an air attack was also reported in the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation.

In Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine, the presidential elections of the Russian Federation have begun, which will last three days, from March 15 to 17 inclusive. The main voting day is Sunday, March 17.

Residents of Belgorod reported explosions in the city centre on March 14. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced two deaths in the region and the hospitalisation of several more residents. Five more people, according to the authorities, were injured during the shelling of the Graivoron district.

The raid of the LFR, RVC and SibBat entered the territory of Russia

On March 12, it became known that volunteers of the Legion "Freedom of Russia" legion, RVC, and "Siberian Battalion" broke through the border with the Russian Federation.

According to DeepStateMAP, by the evening of March 12, they could take over 40 km2 of Russian territory.

On the same day, the Legion "Freedom of Russia" fighters announced that they had taken control of the Tetkino settlement in the Kursk region.

On Mar. 14, the "Freedom of Russia" Legion, the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the Siberian Battalion published a joint address to the governors of the Kursk and Belgorod regions, Roman Starovoit and Vyacheslav Gladkov, calling for an immediate evacuation.
