On the morning of March 15, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation. The video from the scene shows an explosion and fire.

Regarding its sources, the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA writes that three drones hit an oil plant in the Kaluga region. The company's equipment was damaged.

One of the hits was recorded on video, there is profanity.

In the morning, the governor of the Kaluga region announced that four drones were shot down in the region.

Tonight, four UAVs were suppressed by air defence forces in Dzerzhynsk district. There were no casualties or damage to the infrastructure. An operative group is working on the spot, Shapsha wrote.

ASTRA found out that only one drone was shot down, and three hit the oil processing equipment at the Petrochemical Plant "Pervyi Zavod" in the village of Polotnyany Zavod.

There was a fire there. The equipment was damaged. No one was hurt.

Drone attacks on Russian refineries

On the night of March 13, the SSU attacked three Russian oil refineries with drones — in Ryazan, Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod region), and Kirishi (Leningrad region).

On March 12, an unmanned aerial vehicle attacked the Lukoil oil depot in the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation. Half of the depot's production stopped. About 6% of all oil in the Russian Federation is processed there.

Bloomberg wrote that such attacks led to the shutdown of oil refineries in Russia, which together make up about 12% of the country's oil refining capacity.
