The occupiers have already announced the construction of a new railway to connect the occupied territories with Erefia and deliver military cargo, Ivan Fedorov noted.
Fedorov noted that rails are planned to be laid along the Sea of Azov to directly connect the Russian cities of Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog with the occupied Ukrainian cities of Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol and Dzhankoy.
In the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the railway will run from the Yakymivka station near Melitopol to the Berdyansk station and further to Mariupol and Rostov, Fedorov noted.
The mayor of Melitopol also emphasized that work has already begun on the side of occupied Donetsk.
