Russia launched approximately 110 missiles on Ukraine — Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia have fired about 110 missiles of almost all types at Ukraine. Most of them were shot down.

Zelenskyy reacted to Russia’s mass missile attack

Maternity hospitals, educational institutions, shopping centres, multi-storey buildings and private homes, commercial warehouses, car parks. Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and our other cities.

The President said that during today's missile strike, Russia used almost everything it has in its arsenal: Kinzhal missiles, S-300, cruise missiles, drones. Strategic bombers launched Kh-101/Kh-505.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia fired approximately 110 missiles, most of which were shot down by the Ukrainian military.

Unfortunately, the shelling resulted in deaths and injuries. All emergency services are working to provide the necessary assistance to people.

Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

We will definitely respond to the terrorist attack. And we will fight for the security of our country, every city and all our people. Russian terror must lose — and it will lose.

Missile attack on December 29: what is known

One person was killed and 21 civilians injured in Kyiv. People are being searched for under the rubble in the Podil district of Kyiv, where a warehouse collapsed following a hit. Such collapses occurred in four districts of the city.

Partial destruction of 13 residential high-rise buildings and two schools was recorded in Lviv. Many cars were damaged. One person was killed and 15 others were injured.

In Dnipro, 5 people were killed and more than 20 injured. A rocket hit a shopping centre and damaged a maternity hospital.

Two people were killed in Zaporizhzhia. Another 10 civilians were injured. One of the local business centers was damaged, a private house was destroyed as well as windows in 19 high-rise buildings. Two educational institutions and a medical facility were smashed.

In Kharkiv, a civilian was killed — a man aged about 35, 11 people were injured.

The destruction and damage to a warehouse and industrial buildings, a transport depot, and an enterprise office building were recorded. The blast wave damaged the roof and windows of one of the medical institutions.

Two people were killed in Odesa. 15 people were wounded, including two children aged 6 and 8. The enemy fired at high-rise apartment blocks.
