On the night of 9 January, Russian occupiers shelled Kharkiv. In particular, the occupiers hit a children's health centre on the outskirts of the city.
What is known about Russian night attack on Kharkiv
According to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military and Civil Administration, Russian shelling damaged the territory and premises of a children's health centre in Kharkiv.
According to Syniegubov, the medical building and the canteen were destroyed, and the territory of the institution was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
According to authorities, over the past 24 hours, the occupiers shelled at least 17 settlements in the Kharkiv region.
Yesterday, at around 9:30 a.m., in the village of Slobozhanske, the Kharkiv district, power line poles were damaged as a result of hostile shelling. Also, as a result of repeated shelling, the village council building, windows, roof, fence, walls and adjacent premises were damaged.
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration added that there was no information about casualties and that there were no people in the health centre at the time of the shelling.
Emergency services continue to inspect the crash sites.
By the way, on the evening of 9 January, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv. According to the local officials, before that, the occupiers fired from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system from the territory of Belgorod.
Shelling of Kharkiv region
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russians have been regularly striking Kharkiv and the region. In particular, on 7 January, the occupiers shelled a number of villages in the Kupyansk district. The shelling resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.
Also on 6 January, the occupiers shelled two settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were injured.
On 2 January, at around 07:30, the armed forces of Russia launched a massive missile attack on civilian targets in the central part of Kharkiv.
Three shell hits were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Two people were killed and 62 others were wounded.
