The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleksandr Prokudin, reports that a family was injured when a Russian artillery projectile hit a residential building.
An 87-year-old man and his 81-year-old wife died on the spot. A 54-year-old man from Kherson received an explosive injury, a contusion and a leg injury. After providing assistance, he refused hospitalization.
Rescuers found the body of a dead man in the Central district of the city while clearing rubble. His identity is being established.
The situation in the Kherson region
According to the RMA, over the past day, Russian troops carried out 88 shellings of the region, firing 425 shells from mortars, artillery, MRLS "Grads", tanks, ZU-23-2, UAVs and aircraft, including two rockets.
In Kherson, the enemy fired 71 shells, targeting residential quarters, medical institutions, an educational institution and objects of critical infrastructure.
During the day, four people were killed, and another nine were injured, including one child.
