Groups of enemy saboteurs enter from the Bryansk, Kursk, and partly from the Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation in the strips of Chernihiv, Sumy, and the Bogodukhiv district of the Kharkiv region.
Russian saboteurs intensified their attempts to break through the Ukrainian border
Russian subversive reconnaissance groups (SRG) tried seven times during the last two weeks to break through the border of Ukraine. In particular, one of the attempts was carried out in the Myropyllya region of the Sumy region.
The AFU Joint Forces Commander, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev, announced this on Facebook.
In five cases, our defenders managed to detect these intentions promptly and inflict fire damage on the enemy, who, having suffered losses, retreated.
In particular, one of the SRG tried to cross our state border in the area of Myropillya, in the Sumy region.
SRGs of the Russian Army in Sumy Oblast
Literally, on December 14, Russian saboteurs tried to enter the Sumy region. Ukrainian border guards started a battle with the SRG.
On October 12, the SRG of the occupiers tried to break through the border of Ukraine in the Sumy region and get to a critical infrastructure facility. Having been repulsed, the Russians retreated with losses. The SRG consisted of eight people.
On October 11, the Center of National Resistance warned that special units of the Russian military intelligence had arrived in the Belgorod region to organize sabotage on the territory of Ukraine from the Sumy region.
In the Sumy region, the most significant number of attempts by the SRG of the Russian Federation is recorded. Therefore, in connection with the constant shelling and endeavours of breakthroughs by the enemy SRG in the Sumy region, which borders the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, the evacuation of border settlements located in a 5-kilometre zone from the border with the aggressor country was implemented.
