After Ukraine regained control of the Black Sea and the grain corridor, the Russian occupiers resorted to various vile actions. For example, the Russian military remotely drops guided bombs from aircraft that explode when a ship passes over them.

Russia remotely mines the Black Sea

After the start of the Ukrainian "grain corridor" in the Black Sea, Russian occupiers began to mine the waters with guided bomb units (GBU).

Russia is not satisfied with the operation of the grain corridor bypassing its position. The aggressor country is trying to continue shelling with missiles and drones.

According to Yuriy Vaskov, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, as of the end of 2023, almost 180 port infrastructure facilities were completely or partially destroyed.

The Russians have invented new ways to disrupt the normal operation of the Ukrainian corridor. Among the latest tricks of the Russian military is remote sea mining with guided aerial bombs, experts say.

Bombers of the Russian Armed Forces drop special sensors from a safe distance on the shallowest parts of the sea route, which explode when a ship passes over them. On 5 December, a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile system intercepts a Russian Su-24M near Zmeinyi.

Air Force destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber

Ukrainian Air Force fighters shot down an enemy Su-24M bomber near Zmiinyi Island as it allegedly attempted to launch a missile and bomb attack on the south of Odesa.

This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

It looks like the Moskva cruiser will soon become an aircraft carrier! — he said.

I am pleased to announce the destruction of a Russian Su-24M bomber near Zmiinyi Island, which was attempting to launch a missile and bomb attack on the south of Odesa under the cover of a Su-30SM fighter jet, added the commander.
