On February 18, several well-known Ukrainian media outlets were attacked by Russian hackers. The social networks of "Ukrainian Pravda", Liga.net, Apostrophe and Telegraf have been hacked, and fake information is posted on them.

The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

Russia continues its information war against our state. Today, Russian hackers launched another attack on a number of Ukrainian media and posted fake information on their resources.

It is reported that representatives of Liga.net, "Ukrainian Pravda", "Apostrophe" and "Telegraph" publications have already contacted the CERT-UA government computer emergency response team, which operates under the State Special Communications.

In case of suspicion of a hacker attack, CERT-UA urges to immediately contact the team's specialists.

For example, on February 18, the publication LIGA.net stated that unknown persons hacked its website and published fake news about the alleged "defeat" of elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

"Ukrainian Pravda" informed about the hacking of its account in the social network X. A fake about the "defeat" of the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka also appeared on the publication's page.

Russian hackers are preparing for a large-scale cyber attack against Ukraine

The pro-Russian hacker group NoName05716 has announced plans to carry out a large-scale cyberattack on the Ukrainian government.

This is reported by The Guardian.

The hacker group says it is preparing to attack the Ukrainian government with the help of other hacker groups 22C, Skillnet, CyberDragon, Federal Legion, People's Cyber Army and Phoenix.

Cyber attacks have been a concern of Ukrainian officials since the start of the war, and the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine has formed an IT coalition of 12 countries.
