In particular, the Russian MOD claims that the alleged "attempt" to break through was preceded by shelling of civilian objects, which took place around 3:00 a.m. on Mar. 12.
The formations that Shoigu's ministry called "terrorist" allegedly only "tried to invade" the territory of Russia in three directions: in the districts of Odnorobovka, Nekhoteevka, and Spodaryushino.
The Russian occupiers have already declared that "all attacks were repulsed", and the volunteers "having suffered significant losses, were pushed back, border violations were not allowed".
In addition, allegedly regular Russian troops "destroyed up to 60 Ukrainian terrorists" in the Odnorobovka area, three tanks and an armored personnel vehicle in the Nekhoteevka area, and two tanks in the Spodaryushino area, russian media writes.
Also, according to the Russian MOD, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:25 a.m., "four attacks by Ukrainian sabotage groups" were allegedly repulsed, which tried to break through to the border territory in the Tetkino, Kursk region settlement.
Legion "Freedom of Russia", RVC and "Siberian Battalion" entered the Russian territory
On the morning of Mar. 12, units of the Legion "Freedom of Russia", the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), and the "Siberian Battalion" entered the Graivoron district of the Belgorod region and the Russian Kursk region.
The Legion said that "they will take Russian land from the regime centimetre by centimetre".
Former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ilya Ponomaryov, who is associated with the activities of the "Freedom of Russia" legion, said that fighters entirely control the border settlement of Lozova Rudka in the Belgorod region. There is a shooting battle in Tyotkino in the Kursk region.
