How the Russian army organizes "meat assaults" and what are the punishments for refusing to participate in them, the commander of the mortar platoon of the RVC, Oleksiy Lyovkin, told in the Online.UA documentary "White Moth is Done!" about the "Russian Volunteer Corps".

How Russians are forced to go on assaults

Lyovkin says that he saw the prisoners who were brought to the RVC. He says how Russian prisoners from various units were forced to go on an assault.

When they came to RVC they told us: “people were shot in front of the line”. Why do they go and don't come back? Because people are shot in front of the line. If someone doesn't do something, they first inject him with heroin and take him for a medical examination. So they get a certificate that he's a drug addict. After that they can do whatever they want with him.

Lyovkin explains that any further violent actions against a person will be justified by the fact that he is a drug addict.

They tie him to a tree and they rape him with a stick. Then he stands there for a few days. Could you imagine this story? And the others look at it and say: “Well, I'd better try, I'll take my chances. Maybe they won't kill me on the assault, rather than stick me with a stick. That's the best case scenario”.

Another person, according to Lyovkin, recounted a story about a man who dug a grave near the toilet, where he was later shot and buried.

Near the toilet, so that the others would know that it was a shameful death. So of course they'll go. Where would they go? They're just going. I'm either watching the stream or just hear on the radio, three people walking. We fired, blew them up. Then one man is going. Just one man going, that means he's guilty and he's sent to execution. Well, one man can't go to the assault. He just walks down the landing alone.

Anton "Tourist", the commander of the subversive reconnaissance group of the RVC, says that he had a lot of conversations with Russian prisoners, who confirmed that the Russian army really does have "barrier troops".

"Storm-Z" military unit, for example, from the "Wagner Group” unit, with various units where these barrier troops really do exist. I myself used to think that this might be propaganda. But it's everywhere. I've really talked to captives, and they confirmed all these horrors to me from the first person. It really happens there like that.
