Russians bring Karelian medics to the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region

Due to the lack of personnel in the occupied territories, the Russians continue to import medical teams from the territory of the Russian Federation. Thus, medics from Karelia arrived in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The Russians are taking their doctors to the occupied Ukrainian territories

According to the National Resistance Centre (NRC), Karelian medics arrived in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. In particular, anesthesiologists, oncologist surgeons, ultrasound doctors and therapists work.

This happens on a rotating basis with bonus payments for participants of illegal business trips. Even when emergency aid is provided, priority is given to Russians, the NRC reported.

The situation in the temporarily occupied regions is critical amid the aggravation of the epidemiological situation and the humanitarian crisis in general. Mortality among the civilian population is increasing significantly.

NRC adds that simultaneously, the quality and availability of medical services for the local population remain critically low.

What is known about the situation in the occupied territories

According to CNR representatives, the so-called Russian occupation authorities have not been able to improve the socio-economic situation in the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine for many months.

In particular, among the reasons for the dissatisfaction of residents of the occupied territories:

  • total unemployment due to the arrival of labour migrants from Central Asia to the TOT;

  • constant interruptions of the centralised heating system;

  • lackregularrmal medical care;

  • reluctance of the occupation authorities to pay social benefits to residents, especially people of retirement age.

Therefore, the so-called "improved life" on the TOT, declared by the Russian side, remained unrealised. It is because the occupiers did not and do not intend to improve the socio-economic level in the captured territories, CNS analysts emphasise.

They call on the residents of the Russian-occupied territories of eastern Ukraine to transmit brief and up-to-date information about the deployment of criminal army forces and enemy movements through designated communication channels for further elimination of the occupiers by the Ukrainian military.
