Russian invaders continue genocide on Ukrainian territories. On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, Russian soldiers shot dead an eighth-grader.

Russian soldiers killed one more child in the Kherson region

During the final press conference, the information was officially confirmed by the head of Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleksandr Prokudin.

The teenager was shot on December 20.

The Russian invaders were angered by the fact that the teenager was apparently "taking pictures of something".

The guy was walking by somewhere and seemed to be taking pictures of something. Russian soldiers captured him, brought him home and shot him. They did it right in front of the family, Oleksandr Prokudin says.

In addition, he added that after the shooting of the child, the boy's mother fell into despair and tried to commit suicide. However, family members managed to "rescue her from the noose".

According to the Kherson RMA chief, the director of the school where the eighth-grader who the Russians shot studied has already filed a report with the police.

Prokudin himself intends to appeal to the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, and all relevant authorities so that they record yet another war crime committed by Russian soldiers.

Russian occupiers not only kill but also abduct Ukrainian children

For Children's Day in 2023, the Online.UA team presented the documentary project "Abducted Childhood", which collects the stories of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, as well as their families.

Some of them were in captivity, some were forcibly taken to a "rehabilitation camp", and some were separated from their parents during the so-called filtering measures.

During almost two years of war, Ukraine was able to return only a few hundred children. What is essential to understand is that the authorities of the Russian Federation claim that they "evacuated" 744,000 minor Ukrainians.

The regime of Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko is also involved in these crimes.
