Russian troops struck the front-line thermal power plant

Today, Russia attacked a front-line TPP. Six of our colleagues were injured. The energy workers were promptly provided with first aid and taken to the hospital, the report says.

At the same time, the thermal power plant property was seriously damaged.

At the moment, we are eliminating the consequences of the attack, DTEK states.

Shelling of heating plants in Ukraine

Russia continues to use common practice to fire at energy facilities in Ukraine, including thermal power plants. Since the beginning of this heating season, the enemy has fired the DTEK thermal power plant about 40 times. For example, at the beginning of January 2024, invaders attacked the substation and the thermal power station — then the mine and miners underground were left without power, and a fire started.

On November 12, 2023, it was reported that in the last three weeks, the Russian Federation fired three times at one of the TPPs of DTEK Energo. The occupiers also attacked the TPP on the evening of November 7. At that time, a thermal power plant in the front-line region also came under fire.
