AFU

According to the officer of the 59th AFU separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, Serhiy Tsehotskyi, an incredibly fierce confrontation between the Ukrainian military and units of the Russian occupiers in the Avdiivka region of Donetsk region.

What is known about the situation in the Avdiivka area

It's not just hot here, but even super hot. The enemy is intensively trying to advance further along the entire line of contact in our direction. Directly in the district of Pervomaiske and Nevelske: all the equipment they have is used. Wheeled vehicles, tanks, APCs. And they [Russians] attack as much as possible, — notes Tsehotskyi.

He emphasised that the Russian occupiers started using FPV drones to clear the territories.

And today, we see it, they are trying to break through our mine barriers with their FPV drones, that is, they simply throw them across the fields in order to make a passage for the equipment, — says the officer.

What is known about the retaliatory actions of the Ukrainian military

He emphasised that in parallel with that, Ukrainian drone operators are working to retrieve and destroy enemy equipment even beyond the second line of defence of the occupiers.

Tsekhotskyi emphasised that the AFU artillery was working effectively. During the assault, the Russian occupiers sent poorly trained, mobilised Russians who had no skills in fighting tactics but were well-equipped and armed.

There are barricades behind. These are "elite" military personnel, they may be representatives of some special services. We hear from the intercepts that they are catching their own, who were sent to storm. They are mobilised, have a very low moral and psychological state. We need to understand this and not give them the opportunity to catch the euphoria that they caught in Avdiivka, — notes the officer.
