The death toll after the Russian shelling of Kharkiv on January 23 has increased. So far, ten dead are known.

The death toll rose in Kharkiv

According to the city mayor, Igor Terekhov, two bodies were found under the rubble — a man and a woman who lived on the first floor of the destroyed entrance. Rescuers are now trying to get them.

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, a 57-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were killed.

Thus, the number of dead increased to 10 people. The search and rescue operation continues in Kharkiv.

What is known about the shelling of Kharkiv by the Russian army

On the morning of January 23, during a massive missile attack, the Russians struck Kharkiv twice. The enemy used S-300, Kh-22 (Kh-32) and Iskander ballistic missiles. The high-rise building in Saltivka district in Kharkiv was the most damaged.

The occupiers shelled Kharkiv for the third time yesterday after 22:00. The city centre was hit. The Russians hit a residential building and a scientific institution facility.

Today, Ukraine's Ministry of Energy reported that dozens of private houses were left without gas after the Russian attacks.

The police called yesterday one of the most difficult days for Kharkiv since the beginning of the full-scale war.
