Why is the RVC fighter Lyovkin fighting for Ukraine
Lyovkin says that he hadn’t any notions that he was going over to some other side.
I just understood that people were fighting for their freedom, and I absolutely supported them in this. And I did not feel that I was handing over something of my own, in the name of some people, in the name of others, I was taking their side. It was originally my side.
For many years, roughly speaking, I had much more in common with Ukrainian nationalists than with ordinary people from Russia. And this was back in the years when I wasn't even here. More precisely, when I didn't know them yet. Because we were united by the music scene, by the things they sing about. It's kind of like Deep State, where these connections are formed.
In Russia, Lyovkin has been called an agent of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, a criminal, a marginal singer and a Nazi. However, it does not bother him.
To read the Russian media — is to harm your mental health. Therefore, this state, which has become a terrorist, a symbol of evil all over the world... some negative characteristics on its behalf are much better for me than if they would praise me and say that I am good and so on.
