The commander of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" Denys Nikitin, in the online.ua documentary "White Moth is Done!" about the RVC, says what will happen to Russia if Russian volunteers fighting for Ukraine come to power.

If RVC comes to power in the Russian Federation

I think that, first of all, Russia as it is now will not exist. Because already now we can observe the fact that, for example, the Far East lives its own life. Siberia has its own life. The Urals have their own life. Islamic republics such as Tatarstan, of course, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia — they have their own history. They do not even hide the fact that, for example, Dagestan is not Russia, Chechnya is not Russia.

Nikitin gives an example: in battles, the representatives of Dagestan ask that in the column of origin or country they do not write Russia, but write Dagestan or Chechnya.

It means even the inhabitants of these countries do not associate themselves with Russia today. After we come to power, various scenarios will be possible. Whether it will be a confederation, whether it will be just, as my friends joke, Moskovia, New Moskovia... some small piece of land compared to what we have now.

The commander of the RVC assures that he has no crazy imperial ambitions, and in many interviews he already stated that if "Russia for Russians" shrinks to the size of the Moscow region, he will be absolutely satisfied with that too.

I have been to Switzerland many times, and despite the fact that it is such a small country, even by European standards, its citizens do not suffer from gigantomania. They're doing just fine. It's one of the richest countries in the world. And they don't need to have a million cantons or somehow expand in all directions.

Therefore, if the national republics wish to separate and live their lives, says Nikitin, he will not organize any bloody crusades in order to unite them again.

I believe that this policy is disastrous. We see how Russia is dying out. There are certain million-strong cities, and everything between them is gradually turning into some kind of "nuclear wasteland" from Fallout or Mad Max, like dying villages. Monocities that were tied to the Soviet Union economy, tied to some factories. The factory closes down, all this starts to fade away, to die. I have travelled all over Russia, I have a deep understanding. Before Novosibirsk, I had travelled to all the million-strong cities, so I understand what it is like.
