German leader Olaf Scholz told reporters that during the G20 online summit he called on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to get out of Ukraine.

European leaders continue to pressure Putin to end the war

Interestingly, it was not only the Chancellor of Germany who tried to convince the head of the Kremlin to withdraw his troops from Ukraine.

Thus, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni made an identical demand.

I called on President Putin to stop the attack on Ukraine and to withdraw the troops from Ukrainian territory so that this war will finally end, Olaf Scholz said.

According to Giorgia Maloney, she supported the proposal of the Russian dictator to work on achieving peace in Ukraine.

Despite this, the politician emphasized that no statements of Vladimir Putin will make the international community forget about the fact that in this war, there is an aggressor and his victim.

It is enough for Russia to simply withdraw its troops from the captured territory, Meloni reminded again.

What Putin himself said during the G20 summit

The Russian dictator, unexpectedly for everyone, began to call the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine a tragedy and also spoke about the need to stop it.

However, no clear proposals were heard from him.

Some colleagues have already said in their speeches that they are struck by Russia's aggression, which continues in Ukraine. Yes, of course, military actions are always a tragedy for specific people, specific families, and the country in general. And, of course, we should think about how to stop this tragedy, Putin said.

In addition, the head of the Kremlin once again lied that the Russian Federation is not abandoning negotiations with Ukraine.
