On December 1, Slovak truckers began the announced blockade of truck traffic at the checkpoint near Uzhhorod. This information is confirmed by the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine.
In Slovakia, the blockade of the movement of Ukrainian trucks has started again
According to the latest data, Slovak truckers will not block transporting humanitarian aid, other important cargo, live animals, fuel and refrigerated cargo.
In addition, it is emphasized that they intend to pass four trucks per hour for other cargoes.
They promise not to block traffic entering Slovakia. The protesters also promise not to restrict the movement of cars and buses.
Ukraine and Poland agreed on the partial unblocking of the border
Against this background, it's important to mention that on December 1, Ukraine and Poland partially decided on measures to unblock the border.
In addition, it is noted that the issue of cancellation or changes to the "transport visa-free" was not raised.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian and Polish sides agreed on several measures, in particular:
Opening of the "Ugryniv — Dolgobychiv" checkpoint for the passage of empty trucks to increase the border's capacity;
Create separate passes for empty vehicles in the "eCherga" system at the "Yagodyn — Dorogusk" and "Krakivets — Korchova" checkpoints.
Launch of a pilot project with registration in "eCherga" immediately before crossing the border at the checkpoint "Nižankovychy — Malhovice" for one month.
