At the same time, he denied the information that he was served with suspicion.

There is no need to search or search me — during this time I never left Ukraine, — Pashynskyi added.

Serhiy Pashinskyi is a former Ukraine’s MP, and from March 5 to June 10, 2014, he temporarily performed the duties of the head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine. He also previously held the position of deputy chief of the faction and was the head of the paliament’s Committee on National Security and Defence.

The SSU at NABU has not yet commented on this information.

What is known about the case of Serhii Kurchenko

Serhii Kurchenko is a Ukrainian businessman, oligarch, owner of the SEPEK group of companies (abbreviation for East European Fuel and Energy Company — ed.), and ex-owner and president of the Metalist football club (Kharkiv). After the Revolution of Dignity, he fled Ukraine and is now in Moscow.

According to the estimates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the criminal schemes of importing and selling oil products into the territory of Ukraine by the SEPEC group of companies caused the Ukrainian budget at least seven billion hryvnias in losses. Several criminal cases were opened against Kurchenko, his property and the property of enterprises were seized. As a person from Yanukovych's entourage, Kurchenko came under EU sanctions.

NABU believes that Kurchenko appropriated and legalised the property and funds of several state-owned enterprises worth more than 12 billion hryvnias.
