The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) neutralised the agent network of the FSB of the Russian Federation. It included former and current officials of Ukraine's special services.

Russian spies were discovered between Ukraine's special services employees

It is reported that the "powerful agent network" of the FSB military counterintelligence, which operated in Ukraine, has been neutralized.

As a result of a multi-stage special operation, five members of the enemy group were detained in different regions. Among them are former officials of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, as well as an employee of the regional SSU department.

The extras kept in touch with the same curator — an FSB employee who is currently in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The task of this agent network was to transfer intelligence about the Defense Forces and strategically important energy facilities of Ukraine to the aggressor.

What is known about the agents of the FSB network of the Russian Federation

According to the investigation materials, the FSB recruited the foreign intelligence exposé even before the full-scale invasion while on duty. Since that time, he has been collecting information about the locations of Ukrainian military bases and, after February 24, 2022 — about the channels for transporting foreign weapons to Ukraine.

Also, the Russian agent passed on secret information to the FSB about the peculiarities of the work and protection systems of the Rivne and Khmelnytsky NPPs.

For maximum conspiracy, the person involved did not send information by phone. He passed the intelligence through an accomplice who went abroad as a volunteer and personally reported to a resident of the enemy's special service, the SSU notes.

The former spy transmitted susceptible information on a flash drive through smugglers from the border areas of Ukraine.

Another Russian agent, who previously served in the DIU, "leaked" personal data of Ukrainian defenders to the aggressor. Another figure, the SSU employee, scouted for the occupiers the geolocations of fortifications and engineering barriers near the coastline of Odesa.

According to the investigation, the FSB recruited members of the group, using, among other things, threats to kill their families. In addition, the perpetrators received funds from the Russian Federation for each completed task.

So far, five members of the Russian intelligence network have been notified of suspicion of treason. They have already been remanded in custody.
