The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) demonstrated the first marine drone, which was produced thanks to a large-scale collection. Ukrainians donated 300 million hryvnias for 35 "Sea Baby" drones.

What is known about the updated drone "Sea Baby"

The first sample in this batch, which the SSU showed during testing, was named "Avdiivka". It differs from the previous generation, including in appearance.

The 2024 “Sea Baby” is a new generation drone that has been improved and is even more deadly to the enemy.

Like every model of marine drone, "Avdiivka" will undergo a full cycle of sea trials. In the process, the SSU development team will adopt the latest airborne weapons, specially designed and manufactured for use on multi-purpose platforms: "Sea Ba”

The new "SeaBaby 2024" has improved technical characteristics, greater combat and maneuverability. It is capable of delivering almost a ton of explosives over a thousand kilometers. The SSU conceived this drone as a universal platform on which various weapons will be placed.

It was with the help of these drones that the SSU blew up the Crimean bridge and hit a total of 11 Russian warships.

Destruction of Russian ships: what is known

On the night of March 4-5, 2024, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) "Group 13" special unit, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Navy, conducted an operation to destroy the Russian patrol ship "Sergei Kotov", which was only launched in 2022, near the Kerch Strait.

Russia used the ship for attacks on the territory of Ukraine, in particular, at one time on Snake Island.

The cost of the sunken ship is about $65 million.

The strike was carried out by Magura V5 naval drones. The Russian ship suffered damage to the stern, right, and left sides.

On Feb. 14, Ukrainian naval drones sank the large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov" near Alupka in occupied Crimea.

On Jan.31, the R-334 "Ivanovets" missile corvette was sunk on Lake Donuzlav, and on Dec. 26, 2023, the large landing ship "Novocherkassk" was hit by "Storm Shadow" missiles.

On Sep.13, 2023, the "Rostov-on-Don" submarine and the large landing ship "Minsk" were hit as a result of a missile attack on the Severmorzavod.
