On the night of 4 January, a Su-34 fighter-bomber burned down at the Shagol airfield in Chelyabinsk, Russia. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) was behind the successful operation.

What is known about destruction of Russian Su-34

According to sources, on the night of 4 January, a Su-34 fighter-bomber burned down at the Shagol airfield in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

It should be noted that the enemy aircraft burned down, the Ukrainian intelligence sources said.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is behind this operation.

Shagol is a military airfield near the Russian city of Chelyabinsk. The 108th Training Aviation Regiment of the Chelyabinsk Aviation School and the 2nd Mixed Aviation Regiment of the 21st Mixed Aviation Division of the Russian Aerospace Forces are based at the airfield.

What is known about the Su-34

The Su-34 (Fullback in NATO codification) is a Soviet and Russian multirole fighter-bomber.

It is designed to launch precision missile and bomb strikes against enemy ground targets in operational and tactical depth, as well as to destroy enemy air targets. It can reach a speed of up to 1,900 km/h at an altitude of up to 14.6 km.

It can strike at a distance of 150-600 km from the contact line.

It should be added that the Russian army continues to suffer losses, particularly in aviation. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the enemy has already lost 329 aircraft and 324 helicopters.
