The 95th Brigade paratrooper rescued an AFU captured soldier with the help of a drone — video

Drone

The drone operator of the 95th Brigade of the Air Assault Troops was able to use the drone to free a Ukrainian soldier from Russian captivity.

Paratroopers rescued a Ukrainian prisoner

The post of the 95th Brigade says that the paratroopers were working in an area controlled by the enemy.

Many invaders were successfully eliminated with the help of throwing [of ammunition]. When the Russians were destroyed, we noticed a tied Ukrainian serviceman in the trench. It was a fighter from another brigade.

The UAV group commander with the call sign "Sheriff" says that their drone operator with the call sign "Kevin" began to attract the attention to that captive soldier — flashing lights on the "Mavic".

The guy on the ground got his bearings, realised that it was ours and started following our drone. When we were taking our brother out like this, one surviving "orc"[Russian soldier — Ed.] was there. The Russian did not see our "bird"[drone — Ed.], which still had one grenade on it, and started waving his hands at the Ukrainian soldier, saying, come back.

Then "Kevin" threw a grenade at the occupier and wounded him, and then continued to lead his comrades to his unit.

Once again we see: you need not only brute force to fight, but also intelligence," "Sheriff" says.

Families of POWs held a rally in Kyiv

On December 31, families of POWs of the Mariupol garrison gathered to remember those who are in Russian captivity.

The participants of the action held placards with the inscriptions "Free Azov", "Azov saved Ukraine, who will save Azov", "Now everyone is a prisoner of the holidays, and someone is a prisoner of the holidays", "I don't want a holiday, I want an exchange of prisoners."

As of November 17, 2023, it was known that 4,337 Ukrainians were in Russian captivity. 3,574 of them are military, and 763 are civilians. These are those whose stay in Russian captivity was established.
