The AFU Air Force: The weather made it difficult the work of the mobile fire groups of the Air Defense Forces

Yuriy Ignat

Deteriorating weather complicates the work of mobile anti-aircraft fire groups, but Ukrainian fighters still destroy Russian targets in the sky.

The influence of weather on the work of mobile air defence groups

The spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, noted on the telethon air that the weather does not interfere with anti-aircraft missile systems. Still, it will be a problem for mobile fire groups.

Poor visibility, fog, and the night is much longer than the day. Well, they definitely attack at night, as you saw from the statistics. Therefore, it really complicates the work of those units that need visual reference to the target.

However, Ukrainian defenders can adapt to bad weather conditions and destroy Russian objects in the sky.

Air defence work on December 14

On the night of December 13 to 14, the Ukrainian military shot down 41 out of 42 Russian kamikaze drones.

The vast majority were destroyed over the Odesa region. The attack lasted more than six hours.

Due to the fall of debris from downed UAVs, a dormitory was damaged, where 11 people were injured, 3 of them were children. Two 8-year-old boys and a 12-year-old girl have contusions and closed brain injuries, and adults have concussions and injuries.

The Izmail district was also attacked, where the occupiers directed more than 20 attack drones. The port infrastructure was the goal.

Warehouses were destroyed, and people were not injured.
