On the night of December 18, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with five Shahed attack drones. All of them were shot down by anti-aircraft defence.

The Air Force noted that the Russians had launched drones from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region in the Russian Federation.
Mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine within Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyy regions shot down all drones.
The Armed Forces destroyed more than 100 attack drones during the week
From December 11 to 16, air defence forces destroyed 104 kamikaze drones of the Shahed type out of 112. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this.
On the night of December 17, the Russian Federation launched an Iskander-K cruise missile, a Kh-59 guided air missile over Ukraine (the launch areas were Crimea and the occupied Kherson region).
In addition, there was also an attack by 20 attack drones of the "Shahed" type from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation and Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Air defence forces destroyed 20 Shaheds and one Kh-59 guided air missile. The Iskander-K cruise missile did not reach its goal.
On December 16, air defense forces destroyed 30 out of 31 attack drones.
The Russian troops launched drones from three directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Seshcha and Kursk. They were shot down within Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyy regions.
