Ukrainian Air Forces shot down a Russian Kh-59 missile in the Dnipropetrovsk region

On 19 December, the Air Force of Ukraine shot down an enemy Kh-59 missile in the Dniprovskyi district in the Dnipropertovsky region.

Around 15:15 on 19 December, Telegram channels reported the sound of an explosion in Dnipro.

According to the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, the servicemen from the Operational Command East (OC East) shot down an enemy missile over the Dnipro region.

Later, PC "East" reported that the Kh-59 guided air missile was destroyed.

The Russian Armed Forces have intensified attacks using attack drones

In recent weeks, Russian troops have intensified their kamikaze drone attacks on the Ukrainian territory.

Thus, on 18 December, the occupation forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones. Air defence forces destroyed all enemy targets. The Russian military launched 5 drones from the Primorsko-Okhtarsky district in Russia.

The day before, explosions were heard in Odesa. The military was informed about the flight of attack drones from the Black Sea. Later it became known that one of the enemy drones had crashed in a residential area, killing a person. The air defence forces managed to shoot down 20 attack drones and one Kh-59 guided missile that night.
